Snow Trip!

We just got back from a fun trip to the snow! It was Jonathan and Evelyn's first and coldest experience of their lives. We stayed at the John Muir Lodge in King's Canyon/Sequoia National Park. Here's a photo story of our trip...

"Look! Snow!!" (After being on the road for 4 hours)

Tire Chains: How do you put these things on??

At the lodge...getting ready for our first snow play!
Making snow balls....

and snow angels.

After 30 min: "My feet hurt! I don't like snow! I want to go to bed!"

The next day...
Jonathan was up and excited to play in the snow again. We went for a hike to see some beautiful sequoias and then went sledding. We were going to make a snowman, but Jonathan could only last so long in those rubber boots. Plus, the snow wasn't really the snowman-making type.

Jonathan and Evelyn had a strenuous hike through the redwoods.

Famous General Grant tree. Second largest tree in the world and guessed to be about 1,650 years old. (We were going to try to see the largest tree, General Sherman, but the road was closed due to weather conditions.)

Gamlin Cabin built in 1872

Jonathan's favorite part of the trip was sledding with Daddy. I love this picture because it shows how much padding he has on, "I can't put my arms down!!"
